ABOUT US

www.scienceandmaths.net was launched by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. A new UK Government took office on 11 May 2010. Content on this page may not reflect current Government policy. To view the new Department for Education website, please go to www.education.gov.uk

This Science and Maths campaign has been launched by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) to encourage more teenagers to take Science and Maths subjects at A-level. By showcasing the huge range of exciting, aspirational and rewarding jobs available to them if they choose science and maths, we hope to challenge young people's perceptions of where these subjects might lead.

Alongside this, the campaign is helping provide parents with rational and inspirational reasons to encourage their children to continue with Science and Maths after GCSEs. Teachers and career professionals will also be targeted through a STEM careers awareness project, to help them advise students as they choose their post-GCSE options.

If you work with Science or Maths and would like to get involved with this campaign please contact us at:
